Abstract

One day old male infant was admitted to Han Yang University Hospital because of abdominal distention, high fever and bile stained vomiting. Roentgenograms showed absence of air to 5cm from the anus and distended small intestinal loop with multiple air fluid level due to obstruction..
At laparotomy under the general anesthesia, it was noted stenosis of the terminal ileum proximal to the site of stenosis the ileum was massive dilated and perforated, and there was contaminated in the peritoneal cavity with meconium. All large intestine from the terminal ileum showed undeveloped, and then the transverse colon and ileum were kinked well developmental cecocolic loop on the axis of superior mesenteric artery. A ileostomy was performed.
